The seat covers also come with foam padding and all the attachments that the factory cover has. Some modifications may have been made to ensure an easier installation process or a better fitment.
- Why is the color of the brand new cover darker or lighter than my original seats?
We match our material with the samples in the Detroit auto cloth book, which is a yearly fabric sample book that contains samples of all the seating materials used in cars that were produced in that specific year. However, considering the age of the vehicle, the new cover may appear darker or lighter compared to the old seats. The color may fade away, especially in darker colors, or get darker if they are dirty.
- How can I make the new cover match my existing covers even better?
You can start by cleaning the existing seat with a damp cloth and dish soap. If the new seat cover you have received appears a little darker, you can also apply some leather conditioner on your existing covers. This will not only make them look darker, but also protect the leather or synthetic leather and give it a shiny finish. The new seat cover is usually treated with leather conditioner before shipping.
- Why are the clips sewn backwards?
We are an upholstery shop as well as a manufacturing business, and we do installation on a daily basis. We have realized over time that by sewing the clips backwards, you will get a tighter and better fitment.
